OUR COMPANY

Agrioil is a joint-stock company, founded in 1989, composed by many important growers and oil mills,

specialized in growing and processing extra virgin olive oil.

It is located in Italy, within the uncontaminated area of National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano,

where the mild and sunny weather guarantees extra-virgin olive oils characterized by unique organoleptic properties.

Agrioil produces a wide range of products, under its own brand as well as for private labels.

By continuously investing in technological innovation and quality certifications,

Agrioil has improved the efficiency of its services and widened the selection of its products.

OUR TERRITORY

A wonderful territory, twice awarded with the recognition of humankind world heritage:
the National Park of Cilento and the Mediterranean Diet

A varied territory,  stretching from the mountains to the sea, crossed by rolling hills covered with olive trees mirroring into the Thyrrhenian Sea, which has always been a crossroads of peoples and cultures: this is the  frame in whichAGRIOIL is located. An area surrounded by the smells, tastes and traditions of the National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano, the second Park in Italy for its size, extending from the Thyrrhenian Coast to the slopes of the Campanian-Lucanian Apennine.

Since 1998this territory has been Unesco World Heritage site, with the archaeological sites of PaestumVelia and the  Padula Charterhouse. Since 1997 it has been a Biosphere Reserve and since 2010 it has been the first National Italian Park to become Geopark.

Our territory is a natural, protected and uncontaminated area, wholly situated within the Province of Salerno, Slow Food Presidium , as well as birthplace of the Mediterranean Diet.

In these uncontaminated places in the ‘50s,the American scientist Ancel Keys, already chairman of World Health Organization, coined the scientific definition of “Mediterranean Diet”: a diet that is still today a humankind world heritage, based on wholemeal and natural foods, a short amount of meat, pasta, bread and a lot of extra-virgin olive oil.

Discovering Colline Salernitane and Stilla P.D.O. extra virgin olive oil.

“Colline Salernitane” is the production area of Stilla P.D.O., an excellent extra-virgin olive oil, characterized by its unique taste and precious properties. This hilly area, including 87 communes, stretches from the Amalfi Coast to the Calore Valley, passing through Monti Picentini, Monti Alburni, Tanagro hills and part of Vallo di Diano.

Stilla P.D.O. “Colline Salernitane”, awarded with the Protected Designation of Origin (P.D.O.) since 1997, is obtained from special varieties of autochthonous olives, that have always been cultivated in the territory of Salerno: Rotondella, Frantoio, Carpellese or Nostrale, Ogliarola, Leccino.

It is a high quality oil, which owes its characteristics to the traditional cultivation and processing techniques adopted in its land of origin, as well as to the landscape, historical and climatic characteristics of the untouched territory in which it is situated.
